Dear All,

is it possible to use Mobile IP Touch on WLAN infrastructure that not using wireless access controller ? ( AP like linksys, D-Link,etc.. )

say we have 4 linksys AP in the building, all having the same SSID and the IP configuration coming from an external DHCP server.

SVP server will be used...

I assume that it can be done. the only thing this configuration does not support is only hand-over, since every time the AP Coverage change, the Handset need to get new IP configuration.

what you guys and girls opinion ?
or is there anyone had experienced with this kind of configuration ?

Does not work very well.

Just look for buying AP60 + wireless controller and it will 'work'.

krzysioD,

thanks for your answer

when you say "Does not work very well"...does it means it doesn't work at all...or it works but with many limitation ??

because buying Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless is very expensive compare to the Linksys...

It´s also a very good product. Also you are able to use an SVP Server...but think a small controller with ap costs the same...
