Thanks again Vad.
I know there is a way to convert the .dat files to readable text files.
Does anyone know how to do that?

thanks,

Gper

rename file from *.dat to *.z, unzip (I use winzip) in *.txt.
The first line in file - fild description (position, length).
Call type, internal facilities and .. in this file in numerical form.
Correspondence beetwen digits and meaning - on PBX use command "accview -l" (l - L but small).

use this command:
> accview -tf TAXA***.DAT > xxx.txt

that command will convert the .DAT file into readable file titled xxx.dat which will be in /usr2/mtcl folder (local folder of mtcl user, you should be in that folder when you ftp/telnet in). then simply ftp that file, and read it with your word processing application
