Hi All,
I have setup a ABC-F hybrid link between an R8.0 OXe Common GD/MADA3 and R6.0 4400 INTIPA/GIP6. . I have setup the VPN overflows and can establish calls across the network. T3 traces show call setup and acknowlogdement and i can see "WB-without B channel" when i view my IP trunk. Ring tone and name display is present at both sides of the link. I have double checked the codecs ie G723 20ms at both ends but i still get one way conversation?? My Broadcast updates are not working either. (i haven't tried scaling down the broadcast fields yet) I've been told that there is an incompatability issue between R6.0 and R8.0 and that i will need to upgrade. Is this true, or the typical Alcatel easy fix answer? Am i missing a tick in the box somewhere?

With one way conversation - try to disable Direct RTP in OXE and restart VoIP board.

double check that gateway ip address is present at both sides on any INTIP or GD/GA boards

I had this problem because 1 side was incorrect gateway address.

what is the board configuration of the INTIP and the GD are they both set to the same country type????

Okay, finally got around to sorting this out....

Australian Config
Oxe R8.0 Common - GD MADA3, disable Direct RTP, Country Type = Default
4400 R6.0 Crystal - INT-IPA GIP4, enable Direct RTP, Country Type = German (B channel choice set at this node)
All other configs as standard

Just got to get Broadcast working now!!! Is there an issue here?
