Hi there !
I had a good one tonight (Yeah, it's 1h30am and I just came back from the site): I just finished a new installation, but none of the Analog phones would ring when your dial them..

what happened when you tried to call. Any progress tones or VG's. Is it between crystals or same crystal. Ip or TDM

Hello..
It's a brand new installation. M2 cabinet with a ACT14 insice.
I did not special configuration. T1's are not even here yet. I just created 3 users: 2 analogs and 1 digital. I plugged the phones directly on the MDF. I can activate them (I hear the "Please dial your extension" or whatever she says to activate a phone) and once the phones are activated, if I call a digital it rings. If I call one of the 2 analogs from the other analog or digital it does not ring. But you can still pick up the phone and talk...
Strange, huh ?

Change your phones
In USA, you need two cords to branch your phone too ?

Yes, they use 1 pair only.
I tried one way and the other.
I tried with 3 buttset and 1 refular analog, and none would ring...

I think that's a big problem (not ringing) i incountered the problem like that, if u call to analog extension not ringing in the extension but can hear the ring back, us off now we dont have and idea reagarding that on how to resolve it, my system is OMNIPCX 4400 M3 cabinet, one time i ask the technical team in alcatel piliphines and he told me the problem is not in the telephone unit, but thier in analog card, analog card im using Z12 Z24 Z32, anyone have and i dea on how do resolve it help me,

Well, if it is realyy that bad.
First of all, do all checks on MDF!Then you check at customers' .
if you have only one such extension on Z board - you must define what is not working right, analog phone or interface on Z board:
- try to find another type analog phone (the older the better, because modern analog phones have IC to detect Ring voltage instead of good old bell) and connect it on the same Z intf and see whether it rings
- check these phones on another Z intf , also check on another Z board
- if you have an oscilloscope you can check whether bursts of sine Ring voltage (about 90 V AC) are present on line when you call analog extension - if you do not see it it means Z intf is faulty.
- check which frequency is used for Ring - 25 or 50 Hz and cadence for ringing. Some modern phones can not detect some default combinations of Ring tones and cadences sent by 4400.
