I have A4400 system with R5.0Ux.

I am trying to setup SNMP configuration to HPOV, in the document it says:
There is a CDROM package that contains the setup with HPOV, when contacted alcatel they said it is not anymore avialable.

At the snmp client, i can see the a4400 (connection establishe), but no traps from the A4400 is seen by the SNMP client.

Is there any special configuration to do aside from the incidents management?
Or is there any tool to check the traps coming from the A4400?

Thanx

I got the MIBs from inside the A4400 and gave it to the SNMP guy, but it seems not working, he says " he can see the a4400, but can't see any traps coming from the A4400"

The configuration i did is in the application/incidents
also i did configuration in the netadmin

I wonder if there is any other configuration to be done aside from what i did?

Thanx

There are some parameters that need to be managed in the 4400 i believe. In mgr, under applications/Incident manager/ there are some SNMP menus there. I think an SNMP Supervisor must be created so the 4400 knows where to send the traps.

Hope this helps

I managed everything according to Alcatel documentation, also I managed the SNMP supervisor station, The SNMP supervisor station can see A4400 system up, but can't see any traps coming from A4400 although i managed some incidents to be send as SNMP traps and I simulate the incidents, But the SNMP station can't see the Traps.

Any Idea or missing configuration not mentioned in the Alcatel documentation
