4059 Not Recognizing Mouse

All, I've ran into this before but it was so long ago that I can't remember what the solution was. A buddy of mine called and he is having difficulty installing the mouse on the 4059 Attendant Console. The OS is XP. He has tried installing a USB mouse and a PS2 mouse and it is not recognizing either.
I would appreciate any advice you can give.

For 2000 keyboard and mouse must have the same driver "Clavier Multimedia Alcatel". In my practice was problem with USB mouse, but now problem with PS2 mouse if this mouse connected in right socket and before PC will powered on
.

Best fix for you would to be reinstall the 4059 application.
When the 4059 is first loaded onto the PC, you MUST have a PS2 mouse connected at the MMK stage of the installation. After you have ran the MMK installation and rebooted, you can use a USB mouse from then on.
