Hi guys

Well this is my first post here.

Here is my problem: I have an omni switch 6850-24. When booting the OK and the PWR leds light orange. The switch freezes and i cant console the switch and the ports does not works. Also the the stack number remain 0. Can anyone please advise.

We have had the same problem. We even couldn't access the miniboot anymore. This happend after uploading the software on the switch in ascii mode in stead of binary mode.

This was the end of the switch. We needed to send it back to ALU for repairs.

Hi,

The K*.img images on the flash have nothing to do with the Miniboot. So usually you can still access the Miniboot, if you know how. Everybody who is able to recover a Cisco switch/router from that state, will also succeed with a AlcaLu device following the guides already posted here on Alcatel Unleashed.

Please post the full console log for us in order to be able to move forward.
