E1-ISDN PRI ring back from OXO

Hello dear Gurus,

I need you help again....this is the situation:

It's an OXO system with R4.1 that has a E1-ISDN conected to the public carrier, it's was working good for at least a year, but rigthnow the carrier has changed their switch, and they told me that we can not sent me the ring back tone for the incoming call (normal and DDIs) as they used to done. Therefore they ask me to generate on the OXO the ring back tone.

As far as I read on the manuals and the technnical papers this could be done, I followed the instruction, but I doesn't work.

Any Ideas?? :( :(

Thansk in advanced,

Luis,

Hi, have you read the TC of Noworhty Addresess?

This is what i found. It this the same configuration you did?.

LABEL: PI8RingbEx

If this flag is set 01 and the check box "Generate ringback tone to the calling party for incoming calls" is activated (in
PM5 external lines/protocols/ISDN trunks/parameters), on incoming calls, the OXO will send to the caller a Progress
Indicator message with "Inband Tone information available" with the Alerting message. This mechanism is not applied on outgoing calls. This mechanism is available only for T0 - T1 and T2 ISDN accesses since R210/056.001 - R3.1 - R4.0 - not available

00 Disabled 01 Enabled

Regards

AFlores.

Did you reboot after changing it? Changing of some noteworthy addresses require reboot.

Luis,
what kind of ring back tone you are talking about ?
I guess you are talking about ring back tone for outgoing calls for internal users, isn't it ?
If yes, go to memory read/write and look for Other Labels -> SimDialTone (it is usually 00, just activate it). Don't need reset.

Let us know,
Tux

Luis,
this SimDialTon is to generate dial tone when you pick the line on ISDN.

If you go to External Lines -> Protocols -> Choose EDSS -> Modify -> Parameters
you will see options to Send ring back tone for incomming calls and Simulate ring back tone for outgoing calls

Hope it helps you,
Regards,
TUX

Dear all,

First my apologies to Tot, I didn't wanna to tell you witch ....eventhoug she was a pretty one :)

Ok, lets work... thanks for your comments Tot and Tux, but this is what I need.

Normally, when someone (outside) calls your DDI numbers, he/she hears a ringback tone that it's generated (normally) by the public switch. I need to generate this tone in the OXO for all the incomming calls throug my E1-ISND Link, so when someone call my DDI number it would hear the ringback tone that it's generate on the OXO. (this is a weir situation, becouse the public can not generate this tone)

Any ideas?
