Hi! - I moved the server over the week end to handle the daily incoming connections (about 200K/day) but it looks like I aimed too low for the resources. I'm going to have to move this server (hopefully for the last time) this week. I'm sorry for the interruption.

8770 Certification trouble

Post by Berci »

Hi!

I am in the process of upgrading our PCX. The first step is to upgrade 8770, and this is done, but I run into a trouble... We upgrade from 8770 5.1... to 8770 5.2...
Our PBX and all the management PCs are separated from the internet, it is a closed network.

When I run the 8770 client from my PC, it connects to the 8770 server, and a popup window appear, that the PC (or something) needs a Certificate Authoritty or a self-signed certificate to be added to the JRE trusted store. After clicking OK in this window, the login screen appears, I enter my credentials, click on OK, and another window appears, that the https://myserver-fqdn is an unknown host, and I have to get in touch with the administrators.
We do not have a CA infrastructure in this network, and I have no self-signed certifiate.
I just have the installation media of the actual 8770, and I do not have certificates, nor any other CA stuff.

Can anyone explain what I have to do to run 8770 client on my PC?

I think this is something to do with your Windows.
If not, check the 8770 install document about certificate. Maybe you missed one step.

I think first you should check TechComm 2599
Its getting quite complicated with all those latest security enhancements
