Dear Gurus.
I am trying to go with image recovery procedure, for the recovery i followed the steps:
Took a USB 2.0 flash drive with 2 GB memory and it formatted in FAT32.
Inside the USB, created a folder named “6900”.
Inside the folder “6900”, created two folders named “working” and “certified” (i.e., 6900/working and 6900/certified).
Copied the latest firmware release file (“Tos.img” file) to both the folders “working” and “certified” which were created in the folder “6900”.
Copied the rescue file (“Trescue.img” file) to the root of the USB drive (outside the folder “6900”).
when switch enters the miniboot, i entered below command:
=> usb start
(Re)start USB...
USB: Bus 0: USB EHCI 1.00
Bus 1: USB EHCI 1.00
scanning bus for devices... 2 USB Device(s) found
scanning bus for storage devices... 1 Storage Device(s) found
when i entered the command (run rescue) below is the error what i am facing:
=> run rescue
Setting USB bus to 1
(Re)start USB...
USB: Bus 0: USB EHCI 1.00
Bus 1: USB EHCI 1.00
scanning bus for devices... 2 USB Device(s) found
scanning bus for storage devices... 1 Storage Device(s) found
Device 0: Vendor: Generic Rev: 0220 Prod: STORAGE DEVICE
Type: Removable Hard Disk
Capacity: 1906.0 MB = 1.8 GB (3903488 x 512)
reading Trescue.img
** Unable to read "Trescue.img" from usb 0:1 **
WARNING: adjusting available memory to 30000000

ERROR: can't get kernel image!
Can you guide me what is the main issue and why i am facing this error.
Note: Tos.img & Trescue.img i downloaded from the Alcatel Portal.
OS6900-X72 rebooting again and again
Re: OS6900-X72 rebooting again and again
Is this your stick with 1,8G? Have you tested this stick at another (or same) switch running AOS? Does it work there? Have you access the /uflash?
The stick has to be formated with FAT or FAT32.

Re: OS6900-X72 rebooting again and again
Its a 2GB USB that is formatted in Fat32.
Tested the stick on the same switch because all other switches are in production and cant use the USB in those switches.
for the /uflash how to access please guide.

Re: OS6900-X72 rebooting again and again
if the stick is connected and AOS is running mount the stick with: "usb enable".
Than you can use the stick for ls, cp, cd etc.
f.e. "ls /uflash" (shows the root of the stick).

Re: OS6900-X72 rebooting again and again
I did the same when the AOS is running.
usb enable
i save the configuration and reboot the switch.
entered in the miniboot but over there when tried to recover the image it showed the same issue.

Re: OS6900-X72 rebooting again and again
So I understand that the stick is working at that switch in AOS. You can copy and list files at the stick (/uflash)?
And still there is the error: ** Unable to read "Trescue.img" from usb 0:1 **?
Do you have the rescue file for an actual image (not the oldest one)?
