I’m trying to login as root but somehow I’m not allowed to ssh as root on my AP1201 AP’s. I can ssh with with support account. I did a factory reset and create a password for root account. AP’s are in express mode.

Could somebody tell me what to do to login as root?

What you have created in Express GUI is not a root password, but rather a root password seed - it's used by ALE tech support to generate actual root password.

By design, only ALE tech support can login as root, using the password seed, generated by a customer.
