Sending a Txt Msg to an MIPT from a 3rd Party device

Hi all
I have an OXE site that is using MIPT hansdets and looking if there is a way to send a txt message to the MIPT handsets from a 3rd Party devce (nurse call system) using a RS232 or TAP connection.
Has anyone done anything like this?
