Hello,

I have a problem with a 6450-P24 switch with a METRO license. I need to replace this switch and assign a METRO license to another 6450-P48 switch. However, when I remove the METRO license from the malfunctioning switch and add it to the replacement switch, this error message appears:
+++ Metro key not found for slots 1

My question is, is the METRO license assigned to the switch serial number? This would explain the error message.

Licenses are bound to the chassis mac address and serial number. They can't just be transferred to another chassis.
