Hello,
I am looking for the SNMP MIB to report the status of a stack of 6865-U28X and 6360-P24X.
Our client would like to report the state of the stacks in his monitoring station (which is not yet Omnivista, this will be implemented later), and he therefore asks me for the MIB to implement it in his system.

Is the MIB the same from one switch to another ?

the mibs for all R8 switches are the same. You get the snmp identifier from the cli guide at your wished command.
With "show snmp object identifier xxx" f.e. you get the OID.

Thank you for your answer but I admit I don't know much about SNMP and I'm a little lost...

On the Omnivista station, it's easier because it's the software that takes care of retrieving the traps on its own....

I did some research, could the following command bring up the state of the stack on the client's monitoring station? :

snmp trap filter [@Server IP] 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.2

The OID seems to match the name "chasEntPhysOperStatus"

you find the mip-files in MyPortal. The customer can import this mibs into his own monitoring system.
