[QoS policy] Drop meaning ?

Post by Middle_fruit »

hello,

i've got a VPLS configured with an egress policy (150) and we can see some drop on the egress interface (some output omitted):

Code: Select all

*A:SR-2# /show service id 14 sap lag-2:12.* sap-stats
***********
                        Packets                 Octets
Queueing Stats(Egress QoS Policy 150)
Dro. In/InplusProf    : 216                     253944
Dro. Out/ExcProf      : 0                       0
For. In/InplusProf    : 59688                   21612094
For. Out/ExcProf      : 0                       0
===============================================================================

I can see that the traffic is included in the profile and dropped, but is there a way to see if this is a Buffer drop ? a Tail drop ?, ...

Thanks !

Hi,

I don’t think there’s an exact way to see this.
But the show pools access-egress <specifics> command will show you if there’s any current buffer depth so you can see then that you have congestion on the queue etc. this is live though, not historic.
