OmniPCX Large problems

Hi community Noob here with some problems in OmniPCX Large. Any help will be appeciated ;).
So First of all... I don't know the installer password, i tried making a password reset via PuTTy (it worked in Lucent) but in OmniPCX i have
this error message: "pam_authenticate failed: User not known to the underlying authentication module (10)". I guess it isn't the same credentials that worked with Lucent System.

Second Problem: this OmniPCX has no ring in analogue extensions, first of all i tried with another PSU but the problem persists,
but then i found a strange way to fix it, turning on the OmniPCX with CPU and MIXED card AMIX 4/4/8-I plugged into the shelf, and then begin to plug in analogue card one by one and it worked,
but i also left unplugged two cards ANALOGUE INTERFACE SLI 8-I and ANALOGUE PUBLIC ACCESS APA8 because both cards when are plugged into the shelf make interference in analogue extensions.

Hello Sir ,

My first move to all of your questions would be ... any manual available ? do i have time to learn ?
The second could be , where is this system came from and who installed it ?? maybe should i call someone for support?
This forum is for help yes but this questions are so basic entry that even if you manage and login in to the system how would you be able to troubleshoot?

I am not trying to discourage you but it would be much easier for you to solve the issues.

This forum is huge and you can find almost everything but you have to search a lot and the most important is to know what you are searching for.

For your start you need to know the version of the system and gain omc tool (same version as your system or higher) to login to the system.If you have the tool and the default password dont work you need to make LOLA to the system and reload the exact software is wearing but you will need the license files to unlock the feutures .

And an other BIG question rises... do i have a backup?

With putty you will not be able to do anything with omnipcx office .

About your questions, well i do have pdf manuals, about the OmiPCX it was installed by another and now the client don't want to work with the installer company anymore, so here i am trying to understand and fix the problems around this system.

Also a little update, now i have the password,first of all i made a backup and its running software version: 3EH70008AEAA3.008 (at least i can see that under Hardware and Limits/Main Cabinet)and OMC version 22.0.7.1
Now i have the ring problem with analog interfaces and a also some audio interference, when i unplug some analog cards the interference become to be less

Hello ,

This looks like you have power supply problem .Also if it is old cabinet you need to replace internal battery. This can be a problem when the battery is dead/damaged causes the power supply more resistance.sort cirquits.
You need to test with an other cabinet if this dont work maybe you have damaged cards... .

Hi,
I already tried by the first time with another PSU but the problem persists...
Yesterday i linstalled Alcatel Lucent in the client's building, after the typical configuration it's been working since yesterday without problems.
I only have left the disa record there and also in operator extension (alcatel 4039) i have blinking the message led on the phone, i tried to enter programming with default password but no chance to access yet.
