Re: PoE for associated PC on IPtouch Phone switch
Confused ...do you have a problem with your PC behind the 8 series handsets????? because yes it will work, if it doesnt check COS of the 8 series hendsets as you can diable the ports...

Re: PoE for associated PC on IPtouch Phone switch
There are two switch ports on the 8 series set. One LAN port will use for the IP Phone while other LAN port I will use for another device ( let's say class 2 device). When no raw power IP phone will be driven from the PoE switch.
What will happen to other device connected to 2nd LAN port on the IP touch?
Is that device driven from PoE switch?
Since IP touch is about 7 Watt, and if I connect a device about 7W I want both devices to work on PoE...( Since Omini 6850/ 48 port switch drive 360W of power over ethernet, I have only 12 IP Phones per switch. So I could utilize 30W per port)

Re: PoE for associated PC on IPtouch Phone switch
Because the phone has power on it, this port will work just fine and pass data as a HUB would, so plug you pc in and dhcp away with no issues..

Re: PoE for associated PC on IPtouch Phone switch
I think he is asking if he can power another device through the other port on the 8 series set, the answer is no. PoE only goes to the first device. What ever is plugged into the PC port on the 8 series will not get any power.

3 Port PoE Gigabit Adaptor will do this

This is a R8.0 (Corporate) ACSE Question
PoE (IEEE 802.3af) is supported for the LAN Port only. (as torrentula wrote)
The PC Port is not powered. What kind of PC need this?!
My Desktop uses 230 V AC

I am beginning to wonder of the OP had ideas of "daisy chaining" IP Touch sets
