OmniVista 8770: Voicemail not working for Pickup Group.

I have a user which happens to be 7600, which is set up on a pickup group to ring to a few numbers. The Associated set is set up correctly for external voicemail via 6600, with overflow on no answer. However whenever there is no answer (or when a caller selects Voicemail when the call is rining), the phone seems to begin sending to voice mail, but ends up at the automated assistant menu for the whole system, and is never able to direct a call to voicemail.

The only time voice mails show up in this extensions voicemail box, is when you send them a voicemail from another voicemail box within the voicemail program.

I am wondering if the fact that this number is on a pickup group, may have something to do with these voicemail oddities?

Not clear. If you talk about "group to ring to a few numbers" - this is Hunt group, or MLA.
Pickup group - just help for answer to call from another set. Has nothing to do with VM, call flow on ringing set (like overflow, forwarding etc.).
