alarms not auto-clearing when alarmed object is resolved.

we have some alarms that will clear, but some of them get stuck and have to be manually deleted after researching and seeing if they are really fixed.
in the alarm setting we have automatic cleaning enabled ad well as automatic clearing of related objects. is there something else i can try to get these to clear?
