For some reason it looks as though my 8078s has booted up in SIP mode, it shows this if I enter the menus but I receive an error message on the screen during boot up. is there a way to change it to NOE mode ? thank you

i have same problem with you , i can't change to NOE mode with phone 8078s. do you know how to fix this now ?

During boot, from step 2, press i # sequence to enter the local menu.
From there you can get into the menu ot change to noe mode

I have the same problem, SIP mode (i need NOE mode) but i can't access to the configuration mode by i#.
I can acceed by *", but it ask me a password i don't know.

I have had this 3 times in the past it is a fault from the factory the handsets should not boot out of the factory in SIP mode.

I have found even when getting into the SIP menu on boot up you cannot convert it back to NOE mode.

You will need to RMA the handset back to ALE.

you need just to upgrade the sip version to 5.XXXX, and upload it on the device using the browser and when finished you can convert it in step 2.
