Hello
I did a new OTMS installation, but I think that at the time of entering the password of the root users was not correct, because I am trying to connect via SSH and it is giving remote access, but if using the user otuser to work.
How can I reset this password?
thank you

You cannot use root from ssh, you must use otuser the use su- and enter root password.
It can be enabled to use root but i wouldnt advise it

I strongly agree to this!
But if you wanna do it... it is easy to find in the www...
And also it ist easy to find, why you must NOT enable directly root login from network protocols...
Code: Select all
Again, this points us to the three basic lessons:
Stay away from guessable passwords
Watch for weird files (stuff you didn't put there yourself) anywhere in your file system, even in /tmp.
Internalize the fact that PermitRootLogin yes is a bad idea.
