hi all,

sorry for that probably simple question. But somehow i stuck on this.

I have a Switch 6450 for replacement another same model. We use Omnivista - so i can copy all config from the backup.
I copied all files from usb to the switch. but then? I made a wr mem and then i saw the old boot.cfg again in the Folder..

think its pretty simple ..can someone help?

thanks a lot

after copy the boot.cfg to working you have to reload from working (reload working no rollback-timeout) without saving anything.

Hi Silvio,

thanks a lot... but just for understanding - is there everything stored in the boot.cfg? Such as vlan Settings, snmp, name etc?

Thanks for short answer
Best Regards

all config is stored in the boot.cfg (you can look into the file - it is a text-file). Only users (with password and the rights) are in the usertable.

To add to Silvio: banners are also in seperate files.
