Our email is sending via port 25. its always worked in the past until last week all of a sudden its stops working? is there a way to check to make sure the ports are not being blocked at the switch level?

I contacted our ISP and they verified that they are not blocking port 25 outgoing

we have 6450s poe and non poe. our core is a 6900.

i use ov2500 to manage

a lot of possibilities - commands different for 6900 and 6450:
f.e. show spantree ports, show vlan ports, show vlan members, show interface status, show interface port, show violation

But RSTP or vlans would not block just smtp protocol.
It would either block all or nothing.
You could block a sinjgle port e.g. with qos rules but it should not automagically appear.

My best guess is: your ISP is lying.
Try to use submission (TCP 587) or SMTPS (TCP 465) protocol for sending - both are often supported and less likely to be blocked. You may need TLS/SSL Support or authentication for using that.
