4018 and call center menus

Hi,
At our office we use Alcatel 4018 for several years now and until now we didn't need to call to any type of call centers, but now we need to.
The problem is that every time someone from 4018 is calling to the call center and get's to the "Press 1 for ..." part and actually presses 1 the call is put on hold. Could someone please point me in the right direction where to look for the problem?
