Hi all

I don t know about you, but I have been using Rainbow for a little while now and LOVE it.
If you did not try it yet, it is the latest product from ALE... A messenger which works on Windows, OS X, iPhone, and other platforms.. You can chat, call, video call, exchange docs, AND you have have users from multiple companies !

Hi

I don't think I will like it too much. In my opinion it is another software to do same. But I respect other opinions.

Regards.

I think its a taster to get people started,
coming to rainbow is connection to OXO, OXE and other PABX acording to the doc's. this will allow for voice calls to the PSTN.
so in short yes, nothing special at this stage. not sure what they mean by other PABX maybe SIP connection to any.

Yes nothing new at this stage!
But I like the very simple user interface and the future connectivity with ALE systems
Let's wait for the next steps...

It has passed 8 years. Are your opinions on Rainbow changed. Is it worth investing?

I still love it.
Being used to Apple and macOS, I like when things are well designed.
I tried M$ Teams, and it is clustered to me.
I tried the Open Source Rocket Chat which is Rock Solid, but implementation of video web meeting was a little pain in the butt. Even thought worked well.

The only negative I see with Rainbow is their screen sharing which works most of the time, but too many times the remote party would tell me "I dont see your screen" or "I dont see anything moving". A screen sharing restart usually fixes it.

Beside that, nothing to complain about.
You can start with Rainbow for free.

What I also like now is the fact that there is a cell phone client. If you have the business subscription, you can then link your internal extension to it, and walk anywhere with data coverage and make / receive call.

Rainbow now allows call center agents / with a couple of limitations /

What they really need is SMS Forwarding that many other companies do..
