Hi dearest forum,

i need help...

Core: alu 6860
Olt: Nokia fx-4
Switch: alu 6450
Network is being deployed in a type b+ architect.

1 Fault Reported:
a. Intermittent network connection on CCTV vlan 102
b. Intermittent network connection on Intercom vlan 101
c. Intermittent network connection on ACS vlan 103
d. No fault reported on MGMT vlan 99
2 Investigation to cause:
a. Ping latency on CCTV vlan 102 is slow in response ie; up to 2000ms and timeout
b. Ping test on Intercom vlan 101 end devices shows timeout every few minutes
c. ACS vlan 103 time out every 2min 50s consistently for 3 hours during monitoring
3 Verification checks done:
a. Multicast traffic found on CCTV vlan 102,
 Broadcasting of multicast traffic cause flooding in the network. This is shown
in the core switch and GPON equipment
 Viewing application installed on client PC and CCTV server are residing on
MGMT vlan 99 which is different from the CCTV cameras, MGMT vlan 99 and
CCTV vlan 102
 Client PC application communicate to CCTV cameras using unicast whereas
live streaming and recording are in multicast
 Pixelated Images on some CCTV cameras
 Jeffrey Ang mentioned he had changed the gateway on the servers to the
client PC IP addresses eg 172.16.0.1 to 172.16.0.15 on PC 172.16.0.53
 cctv technician is unsure of what kind of traffic the CCTV is transmitting at.
We have been asking since we did the POC in our lab. Only when
prompted, he went to check the client application and found out that live
streaming is on multicast. Since POC, we have been informed that CCTV
will only be transmitting in unicast traffic
 On 26th Oct 2016, we were informed by our own cabling contractor that
Cctv vendor is using power injectors with 2 power surge filters on each end of the
cable connecting to the PTZ cameras
b. Intercom server 192.16.1.10 ping failed
 Found lan cable on port Core Switch 1 port 24 was not securely plug in
 Found duplicate IP address used 172.16.1.116
c. ACS vlan 103 found intermittent
 Likely caused by the spanning tree issue on our ONT switches

really appreciate if anyone could shed light.
