I would just like to know if it is possible to reset the installer password on an OXO if the current one has been forgotten.... without having to cold reset the system.

Yes. With Rel 10.3 you can do it. Earlier releases with Alcatel ticket.

You can send e-request to Alcatel-lucent, you have to provide phone number for modem connection and SW verion and they will reset password to default
