forbid external calls

Post by cowrea »

Greethings,

My system: Alcatel OXE OmniPCX
Release : 11

Is it possible to forbid incomming external calls for just one single handset?
I've allready set "Public COS" to 15.
Now i'm no longer allowed to call to an external number, but a external number could allways call me.
Internal calls should be allowed. Incomming and Outgoing

Code: Select all

lqReview/Modify: Usersqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqk
x                                                                              x
x             Node Number (reserved) : 1                                       x
x                   Directory Number : 1493                                    x
x                           Set Type + GAP Handset                             x
x                 Public Network COS : 15                                      x

What if an internal transfers an external call?
Don't understand this kind of requests but...
Guess you should check Trunk connection category not to be able (0) to communicate with your set connection category

I could explain you the reasson.

Some employee are not working at night.
They are only phoning to their wifes eg.

After i blocked the outgoing calls they are no longer able to call home.
But they still could be called from home.

I want to forbid each external call.
There is no reason why this devices should ever talk to extern, this sets are bound to local numbers.

eg.
01234 / 5678 --> 1493 => forbid
1493 --> 01234 /5678 => forbid
1495 --> 1493 => allowed
1493 --> 1495 => allowed

forbid external calls

Post by tgn »

the rights resulting from your public network cos, depends on your default database... if you're in germany and your default database is a 'child' of the schmidt-default-database, then 16 is the right choice for public network category. with this only outgoing calls to emergency numbers are possible. incoming calls follow the users entity cdt.

if this is not working -> read about the public network cos in the docs or hire someone to fix it for you.

regards...

For external calls forbiding
Manage Public Network COS for user
- outgoing call - via item Public access COS (area) or Trunk Group access COS (TG)
- incoming call - item "incoming DID/Tieline=0" - direct incoming access via DID, item "Ext.Access On Set Transfer=0" - another set cannot transfer external call to such user.

Hmm,

i don't understand where i could find this entrys.
I'm working since 1 year with alcatel oxe. I'm one of two admins who manage it.
I've never ever read a documentation for this.
The only Docu I've got is a installation Docu, made by our service provider.
There I've got just a shelf-description and a COS-Table (1-31). According to that list I should use Public COS 15 - just emergency numbers and local are allowed.

Where could i find a doku? And not just snippets like the threads on this forum.
