user automatic forwarded

a telephone set is forwarded to his voicemail, whenever the userdata in shelf/board/equipment is set to 255/255/255.
the question is:
bug or feature?
and if it is a feature, where (the hell) it can be turned off...?
any clues about this?
thanks and regards...

no there is no assiciated set configured.
but indeed the set has a voicemail.
also this happens only on TDM-sets.
if voicemail is configured in set-parameters:
- set userdata in shelf/board/equipment to 255/255/255 with mgr (or 8770)
- set is forwarded to voicemail
if the voicemail is not configured in set-parameters:
- set userdata in shelf/board/equipment to 255/255/255 with mgr (or 8770)
- set is not forwarded to voicemail
if voicemail is configured in set-parameters and :->
- set userdata in shelf/board/equipment to 255/255/255 with the function "Set features/Set In/Out of service"
- set is **not** forwarded to voicemail
this really drives me crazy

is it release 11?
new feature TDM/IP OOS in COS/Phone features replaced IP/SIP OOS.
true = overflow to associate (you say none)
false = overflow to entity (is the call routing in the entity the VM?)
just a guess
BTW never use google for Alcatel questions it will only direct you to the unleashed site:)

Yes, it is (11.1). But before upgrade (from 10.1.1) the behavior was the same.

i think this not the case, the corresponding switch in phone feature COS is set to:
Code: Select all
Forward if set is out of service : 0
But no matter the behavior is the same, if i set it to:
Code: Select all
Forward if set is out of service : 1

just kidding

But kinda logic to me. If a set has a VM, and is out of service, then someone calls him, as an "emergency" feature, instead of losing the call at least let the caller leave a message for the user.
Sounds great to me.
Then when user set is back to life you can see who called you and call back if needed. If you don't want that then do a manual forward elsewhere or disable VM.

feature or not... it can be switched on and off somewhere...
i've tried with a clean new database in my vm-oxe and then no forward is set automatically when setting shelf/board/equipment to 255/255/255.
maybe i will find it... in heaven...
