Problem about associated set number in case of busy set

Post by haruthai »

Hello,

I found the problem about associated set number in case of busy set

I've set the following parameters:
[1] user > associated set number: voicemail number
[2] user > dynamic state user
- overflow on associated: box checked
- overflow busy on associated: box unchecked
[3] categories > access category > PNC
- DDI overflow On Total Busy: 0
- Incom. DDI hold on busy set: 1

As the result, all calls (internal and external) are forwarded to voicemail when nobody pickup the calls.
However, in case of busy set, only internal calls get busy tone. Unfortunately, externall calls (via DDI) don't get busy tone and still be forwarded to voicemail at all.

I would appreciate it if you could suggest the solution to this problem.
Thank you in advance.

For external incoming calls:
- if you want to have busy immediate - Incom. DDI hold on busy set: 0, DDI overflow On Total Busy: 0
- if busy user shall be informed about external call, external user will receive "busy" after time-out - Incom. DDI hold on busy set: 1, overflow on waiting: 0

Hello Vad,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I would like the caller immediately get busy tone when the set is busy.
I followed your suggestion but the result was the same as mentioned before.
Do you have any idea?

If incoming line DID (not analogue or tie-line)!!!
1) Incom. DDI hold on busy set: 0 (absent warning about new call - no waiting)
2) DDI overflow On Total Busy: 0 (disabled overflow - user, Phone COS or Entity level).

I suggest next:
1) Check Phone feature COS (default overflow type/address) - may be SW bug
2) In Public network COS manage the same value for mode "night" and "day"
2) If user belong to hunt group - used public network COS from HG (by default 2), not from user parameters (declare in HG public network COS=255)

Hello Vad,

These are the information corresponding to your suggestions:
1) default overflow type: No forward
default overflow address: Nothing
2) "Night" and "Day" are the same value. (value is 1)
3) The user doesn't belong to any hunting group.

value 1 - for what item?
If you want to disable overflow (receive busy tone) Incom. DDI hold on busy set and DDI overflow On Total Busy must be 0.

Sorry, I typed it wrongly.
Actually, I have already configured these parameters as you suggested to 0 but it doesn't work. T_T

User - multi-line set or not?
Incoming line - DID (R2, ISDN or something like this)?
Incoming line and user - on the same node?
User / dynamic stat user - forward not programmed (only overflow)?

Thank you very much for your kindness.
I would like to give you some additional information:

more questions:
- in case of external calls to busy set - you have immediate overflow to VM or after time-out (30 sec)
- internal analogue user - hear some "warning" tone in conversation or not?
