Hi All,

I am looking to setting up a hotel with 75 rooms and expandable to 300 rooms in the future for my client,. The budget is limited, at the moment there is a refurbished Alcatel OXE on offer for $17500. I am unfamilar with Alcatel PBX.
Is this PBX have features for hotel pbx?.
Is the price reasonable?.
Is there an cheaper alternative?.
Does alcatel have Integrated Billing Software to work with this system?.

Hotel features are good. Seems you have the license ready for 350.

Billing is done by others like Opera I think. I see license for link there.

Cheaper...we can't say. What is cheap to you? A robust solution where you can grow or a cheap hardware that may be problematic? That definition is too complex.

And remember.. cheaper does not mean better..

I need to understand the license meaning , can you tell me which document contain that?

What type of OXE is it ? I see 4635 voicemail, this might be an old one.

Billing for Hotel is usually done in PMS hotel software in order to align check in/check out with billing. You have license for hotel link over V24 and IP and real time metering for billing on PMS software:
6 Hotel: AHL on V24 = 1
51 Real Time Metering on V24 = 350
126 Hotel AHL link = 1

Voice mail licenses include the hotel features:
59 4635 Hotel manager = 4

Integrated billing could be done in Omnivista 4760 however the license for it comes separately and we cannot assess if you have it or not. Again billing in hotel environment should be done in PMS!

You need and OXE engineer to configure your system - that costs too - and without support and warranty, well you are kind of on your own...
