Some help identifying unit and a push in the right direction

Hi all,

We're having issues with the company who maintaimns out PCX and as I have some background in Telecommunications (Ex SS7 programmer for Logica CMG) I've been lumbered with the task.

Currently nobody knows the SW revision, Username, password... You get the idea so I'm having to start from scratch by getting the info off of the units and working from there.

Anyway the info is as follows:

Name: Alcatel Omni PCX Extra Large
Model: 3EH76027ABAA
Rev: R100/56.3

Modules (just the different types, not qtys)
-----------------------------------------
CPU-E
UAI16
MEX
APA8
SLI
ATA4

That's about all I could get off of it. Anyway I did a search on the site and couldn't find anything that allowed me to difinitively identify the units (two boxes) so I was hoping that someone here would be able to help.

Now, I've got a copy of PM5 400 (from this site, thanks guys) and knowing my paranoid company they are still running on the original rev. I've got the default Username and Password from a userguide (that's probably changed however) and I have the IP address, but I don't want to try and connect just in case the software I have does an upgrade/downgrade of the system if they don't match (v.unlikely I know, but I'm being paranoid about this).

Anyway, I'm sure once I'm on I'll have little trouble getting the things done that we need (a few ext re-names, some numbers moved and one pick-up group) but a little knowledge from you great and mighty gurus would be very welcome before I proceed (yes, that was an obvious attempt at buttering you up  ).

hi

you have an OmniPCX OXO. For the rest, sorry I can't help you (but I'm sure someone else will). I went to training for this box, did not like it, and told my boss I did not want to have anything to do with it. Regarding the password, there is no work around but call Alcatel to get it back..

You have OXO R1.0, It's very old release. Current release is R6.0. I think, that PM5 400, that you have, don't support this. Because of release range for PM5 400 is from R1.1 to R4.x. I think, you need something like pmi110_29.0.

The software release of your box is old, Alcatel will not support that.

The PM5 software you are using should work fine, althought it would be easier to use PM5 R1.1

If you cant find the password to your OXO please contact me and i can explain a work around to get the password with out needing to go to Alcatel.

What country are you located in"?
