Hallo Guys.

I`m new to the Alcatel community.
I`m trying to upload and download the config file from the 7210 SR using the ETH-MGMT port.

I have a TFTP on my laptop with IP 192.168.0.2/24
And the 7210 is set to 192.168.0.1/24

When i try to ping them it doesn`t work. I can Ping from my Laptop to 7210 but when Pinging from 7210 to Laptop i recive an error no route to the destination IP.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hi,

You will probably need to ping from the out of band routing instance:

Try:

ping router management x.x.x.x

ETH-MGMT is the management interface "out of band", so your ping does't work because this network is not in the routing table.(u can verify by show bof/show router route-table)
But if u can ping it from your PC try to enter "file" command on the device and try to copy config.cfg to your tftp(or download it)

yep, router "management" is needed to ping from "out of band".
