What is the difference between intermediate release and maintenance release? If i used the intermediate release is there any chance that i may face an issue with my switch such as cpu usage, memory..... etc.

Hello, there is intermediate releases notes (pdf) coming with maintenance releases (firmware).
There is also GA releases, with several bugs (corrected with the maintenance releases).
You have to check in the last intermediate releases notes in order to fix your memory or cpu issues.
