Hi,
I am new to Alcatel, and I am looking for information on how I can monitor a SIP trunk for events (startMonitor) and also divert calls to a trunk.
I guess what I am really looking for is how to "address" a trunk in an Alcatel 4400.
For normal extensions, I know I can use the directory number like 500/5001 etc, but since I am not familiar with the Alcatel configuration, is there a "trunkid" or any other such unique identifier which would
allow me to address a trunk ?
Thanks
Shahed

Hi Shahed,
this comand to supervisioning one trunk group have in oficial documentation,
Comands is "trkstat <number trk grp>"
to you see all trunk groups and your numbers use comand "list_faisc" (i dont remember in old version A440 is listfaisc or list_faisc)

Re: Newbie :- How to address a SIP Trunk to monitor events
You need to understand also how SIP trunks work in OXE. You have a SIP trunk defined but then you have external gateways associated to this trunk.
To see the status of the SIP ext gateways connections you can use:
sipextgw -g <ext gw number>
Regarding traps and incidents related to the SIP trunks you need to check the documentation and the MIB files if needed.

Hi ,
First you will need to be a registered partner from the Alcatel-Lucent Application Partner Program (http://applicationpartner.alcatel-lucent.com)
Then you can have access to the APIs.
If you already are registered and have access to the APIs, then you can look at the Trunk Group Supervision Event that will give you periodic informations about the trunk.
