Changing DID number translator rules

Happy Holidays All,

I support a 7 node OXE environment. Have 1 crystal and 6 4400 stand alone switches on rel. 8.0 using vo/ip trunking. My 3 PRI's come into the crystal. What I am looking to do is take 7 numbers out of a defined group (5124, 5047 etc.) out of the range and point it to different voice mail tree but still keep the internal number. My big question is when I delete the range, in order to change same, are there any potential major issues I need to concern myself with? I don't believe there is, BUT I need to verify with the guru's.

My Existing Configuration (not set up by me originally):

DID number translator rules
Node Translator External Numbering Plan DID numbering translator First External Number First Internal Number Range Size Unique Internal Number
High School 1 1 0 1000 1000 1000 NO
High School 1 1 0 5000 5000 48 NO
High School 1 1 0 5048 7004 1 YES
High School 1 1 0 5049 5049 1500 NO

OutBound
High School 1 1 1 1000 5047 200 NO

New Range

1000 1000 1000 NO
5000 5000 47 NO
5047 7002 1 YES
5048 7004 1 YES
5049 5049 74 NO
5124 7003 1 YES
5125 5125 1500 (why so high?) NO

Thanks,

Russ

Oldboy,

In the 5000 group there is approx 200 numbers. So when I make the changes I will change the 1500 to 200.

Thanks,

Russ
