Is there a difference between the HSL 1 and HSL 2? Will a HSL 1 work in the HSL 2 slot?

Yes, I understand that part of it. My question is, is there a difference between the HSL 1 and HSL 2 boards. I need to buy spare parts for our existing customers and wasn't sure if I needed one of each or if the HSL 1 could be used for either slot on the GD.

The reason I question this is because Alcatel lists them as two different parts with two diffent part numbers, but at the same cost. WHY

HSL1 - for one link, HSL 2 - for TWO HSL links. HSL2 can be set on only GD (OXE) or CPU (OXO) for connecting two extension cabinets through MEX boards. HSL1 and HSL2 uses the same, only one position on GD/CPU. HSL1 and HSL2 are different daughter boards. I suppose, it's clear now.

It seems that there is not such information from that command.

Any other idea to check this without looking directly the hardware?

easist thing is to see how many mex cards run off that gd.
i.e. if you have just gd shelf and no expansion cabinets then no hsl, one expansion cabinet gd will have hsl1, two epansion cabintets the gd will have hsl2.

But if you have one expansion cabinet and HSL2? F.e. during initial ordering - was supplyed HSL2 (for future expansion).

as this is only for "on stock" spares and if he has only systems with 1 expansion then an hsl1 would do the job.
