dhcp release time issue with oxe internal DHCP server

Hi,

I have an issue with DHCP release time in internal DHCP server.

DHCP start time is not accurate with OXE cpu time.

I have tested with new database of R10.1.1. Also NTP servers has not been configured yet.

cpu time is 18:00

But Dhcp release time

Lease 10.17.2.75
start 2013/10/02 01:05:54
end 2013/10/02 02:05:54
stamp 1970/01/01 00:00:00
hardware addr = 00:80:9f:04:bd:f8

My question is NTP server is mandatory to configure in OXE R10.1.1 or did i miss something ?

Thanks
Melan

Just joking...
From Ubuntu manuals
Lease times are specified in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), not in the
local time zone
. Since Greenwich is actually on Daylight Savings Time
part of the year, there is probably nowhere in the world where the
times recorded on a lease are always the same as wall clock times. On
a unix machine, one can often figure out the current time in GMT by
typing date -u

Hi Alex,

I have non alcatel sip phones.

Can we Increase default lease timer 10 minutes to 120 minutes or more.
I don't want to do it using class ID.( Any setting to change in mgr ?)

Also i have noticed, etc/dhcpd.conf non alcatel lease timer is set to 600.
But will it effect badly if i change ?

Thanks
