Hi korin,

Kindly try using DirManag.exe located in \\4760\bin\ to reset your AdminNmc password.

1. Double-click DirManag.exe
2. Click Connect
3. Log-in as: cn=directory manager
4. Input the assigned password (default: AdminNmc)
5. Click OK button
6. After, expand o=directoryRoot\(company name)\Administration\Administrators\AdminNmc
7. On the right-window, find the parameter 'userpassword' and input a new password i.e. AdminNmc4760
8. After, select File\Save

Note: A notification will prompt stating creation was Successful! Click the OK button and try to log-in.

In addition, once you had a successful log-in, please remove or deactivate the aging password. Please take note that deactivating the aging password must be part of your post-configuration because it is activated by default in R5.2.

Thanks,
Zero

Hi korin,

Yes, apparently thru TeamViewer, you can install OmniVista 4760. However, please take not that it is not a recommended installation procedure.

Thanks & Regards,
Zero

Great information as it saved me from a rebuild, the ToolsOmniVista.exe would close after I put the default password. Luckily it worked with DirManag.exe to reset the adminnmc password to a new one.

Hello, I don't actually understand what should write in host, login and password.
Host is the ip server or name?.
Login: literally "cn=directory manager"?
Password:?

I've tried host: ip and name.
Port: ldap port
Login:" cn=directory manager" (without " ")
Password: AdminNmc, adminnmc, superuser...
Image
And always get "Can't contact LDAP server"
"error connecting "

Hi Everyone,

I'm getting the next error: "Your login or password is not correct" when I'm trying to log in 4760 server.
If I use ToolOmnivista.exe, the application close immediatly when I put any password, even the default (adminnmc).
So, I tried to restore the password through DirManag.exe according the process in the previous posts, but always I get errors related with LDAP.
On the other hand, We have other server installed for the same OXE, this one was about to deactivate, I tried to connect with this server and I got the same error "Your login or password is not correct", but with this server I could accessed to ToolsOmnivista.exe, and I changed "supposedly" the adminnmc password, but I tried to log in and again I got the error.
I tried to change even the other passwords with ToolsOmnivista, but when I tried to change LDAP password I got "updating password failed: Not conneted to LDAP..."
Any suggestions?.

:(

Dear KIKA,

If your server is running on Windows 7, you must execute toolsomnivista to "run as Administrator" whether via the command prompt or in \\4760\bin to eliminate immediate closure of the application's running process.
...I tried to restore the password through DirManag.exe according the process in the previous posts,...
Meanwhile, using the DirManage.exe, the process is to connect by putting ONLY the corresponding "Login" and "Password." For the "Login:" just type cn=directory manager while for "Password:" it is the installation password set then other parameters remained default or as is.

Zero

Zero, i'm very grateful to you for advice. I could not understand because of what the problem. As a result, I was able to successfully perform the procedure "password reset"
