Problem with Gd

Hi
i have a Problem with a new Gd Board. i can't flash it with Windowsinstaller. it begins normal and end with message format flashdisk.


Invalid Drive!
e2fsck 1.19, 13-Jul-2000 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09
e2fsck: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read while tryin
g to open /dev/fla
Could this be a zero-length partition?
/etc/rc.sysinit: line 122: 477 Segmentation fault mount -v -t ext2 /dev/f
la /mnt/flash
Damaged or inexistant flash filesystem - trying to format

Format - Formats a flash disk

Been there.
Try do use one of the latest software patches like:
R5.1.2 E2.504.1.al
R6.0.1 F1.603.1.ah
R6.1.1 F2.502.22.c
R6.2 F3.301.27
R7.0 F4.401.23.a
R7.1 F5.401.11.e

Which release do you use?

I had the same problem with a GD right out of the box. It could be flashed but stopped with the same info on console. I was fed up after some experiments and returned it... don“t waste your time ;-)

The Version is 6.1.1 f2.502.5 c

The Board is GD-2. i had the same problem at 4 weeks ago , with an cpu from oxo (cpu 1) there is no problem.

Official TC's chapter, TC0904 - check minimum version compatibility.

Sure. Version is R6.1.1 f2.502.5.c is lower than the minimum support version R6.1.1 f2.502.22.c

I must recon that Eliott was the one that gave the solution first time on this forum and helped me then transforming a CPU3 (from OXO) in GD :lol:
