Voice Activity Detection

Dear friends,

I am having problem in a recording solution being used for Alcatel OXE. The voices of external party and agent in the recorded call are not synchronized and the yspeak at a time. The talk of external caller ends before the agent. I have checked the wireshark stream coming from agent extension for a bad call and found that the external caller stream is almost half of the agent's stream. The codec being used in OXE is G711 and we have checked the VAD is disabled. The Global compression is OFF, intra-domain and extra-domain coding algorithm is without compression, compression on extensions if OFF. But still i dont understand why the external caller stream is shorter than teh agent causing the unsynchronized call in recording system.

What type of recording system?
What kind of recording implemented? (passive, active IP DrLink...)
Architecture of your solution?
