LLDP unsupported AFN 6

Hi,

I get the following message on an Alcatel switch used for vlan stacking.

"LLDP warning lldpProcessMgmtAddrTLV: Mgmt Addr TLV has unsupported AFN 6"

Now I get lldp messages on other vendor switches sometimes and all I have to do is disable the lldp setting that is causing the message but in this case I have had a look at the config and I see that all lldp configuration settings are disabled already. How do I get rid of this message from the logs as it will make troubleshooting difficult later if I have to look at the logs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

If this not helped try a last software release 6.6.4.R01GA or 6.6.3.478.R01 Maintenance.

May be it will usefull for someone.

I faced with the same messages and we discovered that root cause was new server that was announce IPv6 messages towards switch.
So, we just disable LLDP protocol on that interface on the switch.
