Alcatel Unleashed

I am 40 years old and have worked for 18 years as a technician in the field of telecommunications. For almost 20 years my company had Hicom 300 systems from Siemens in action. My colleagues and I have, from the installation to maintenance of the systems, all ourselves. Six months ago, we switched to the Alcatel OXE. The decor of our approximately 40 nodes, we were conducted by an outside firm. We lacked the know-how here. In a year we will carry out all the work myself again. Currently, we get the necessary training at Alcatel.
The training "Starter Pack", "CPU-loading" and "VoIP Advances" are behind me.
Except for the training materials I am also very happy and learned a lot. The documents are there only as a protected PDF file. This can not print or edit. An installation on several computer is not possible.
Nice it would be to have this as a Word (doc), or PowerPoint (ppt). Maybe I can help someone here and knows where I can find them. I am Grateful for any advice.

Training material is only provided in hard copy. You are lucky to receive a .pdf even if locked.
On this forum we cannot share training documentation. You can however download the system documentation for OXE when you reach 3 posts (see forum rules).

Thanks for the welcome.
Since the beginning of this year there is the course materials only as a pdf document. Ok well so far, but you can only install on Windows machines. If you want to use the document on another computer, it must be disabled on the old machine. Unfortunately quite cumbersome.

I found out this a few months back too while making a visit to Alcatel. Does anyone know if its possible to buy the traning material? I have done the courses, but back then we got only hard copy books.

Could just write Alcatel, but I just came across this post

In our courses we don't get the student guides from the trainer in an open form. We have ask him but he could not give us. Whether you can buy officially I do not know.

I don't think you can buy the training guides from Alcatel-Lucent.
On older trainings you received a hard copy of the training material. On the newer trainings you will receive the documentation and practical works in a digital format. Some of the documents are in 'plain' pdf, others you can only open with the training program that is also licensed to one pc (as mentioned earlier in one of the other posts).

Probably the best way to get the documentation in digital format is to take your hard copies and put them through a scanner......

You can move it from one PC to another. ask your trainer how to....
