Internal to External Divert IVR

Post by Ricsta »

Hi all,

I would like to try an IVR out, however the service will be hosted externally so basically internal users need to dial the DDI to get the IVR service? how can I get round it without creating a loop.

The internal number for the service is say 3000 and the external number say 01773 703000, we have already published the internal 3000 to log jobs for support so for the new services they will by default call 3000 - however to get the IVR (so we can have press 1 for and 2 for) we need them to dial the external 01773 703000.

Any help would be great.

What kind of IVR is this? IAA? Other? How it is connected?
You first specify this is external, then you talk about internal extension and loop --> you don't make much sense....

Sorry if it's not clear, the IVR is hosted externally - so basically when you call our external number you will hit the IVR. We want to use this internally as well, problem is the number is already published so people will call the internal number and never get the IVR. I was thinking of changing the internal number for our service desk to somthing else and having the 3000 forward to the 01773 70 3000, this then hits the IVR which forwards to new internal numbers. Can i do somthing else?
