Echo on voiceguides

Hello all!

I'm new at this forum and have a question about a problem i'm having with voiceguides.
After a while the voiceguides start having a lot of echo on them and are hardly understandable. I have already reset the GPA board, replaced it for a new board, reset the whole system but with no result.

Alcatel will not help me because it is an old release. So if anybody has an idea... :D

Thanks

Hi,

I know that's obviously, but are you sure of the quality of the sound that you've put in your system ? Can you listen your guides after compilation with your audiostation to test ?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply's.

The echo and stutter are on digital phones ( they don't have ip-phones). For instance the message: "press 5 to be called back" or when you want to log-off/on a phone using *311. So all system messages are bad.

I think they are using release 4.2 but I can't check right now because I'm not in the office. I'll let you know.

Maybe you should try to re-upload the VG in the GPA ?
I would try that first, so then you would have more elements to troubleshot then..

Hi,

I know nothing about VG and GPA boards, so if you could tell me how to re-upload them I would be very thankfull.

It's probably somewhere under system/VG flash file download....?

Thanks

You must use the software "Audiostation" to do that or you can simply to reset your card with "rstcpl "number shelf" "number card""

Check /usr7/vg/flash/std to see what voiceguides are in.
You can also try to do a

rstdspcpl "shelf number" "cpu position" 1 -r
