[SOLVED] Client on 4760 server cant connect to server.

Post by new_guy »

Hello.

I've got a problem. Suddenly the client on the 4760-server cant connect to server. I get "unable to connect to server" and I get a prompt to fill in servername and port 636. Clients on other computers can still connect to the server, just not the one actually ON the server. Strange. This installation has been working for years, and I have not upgraded or patched it for over a year. Host-file is configured correctly.

Its release 5.1.06.03c.

I pasted info from logfile d:\4670\client\bin\4760client.log below.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Regards new_guy.

Tried restarting services, not helping. Also tried rebooting the whole sever, still not helping. There is no entry for the client under "Add / remove programs", only for server so I cant remove and install again unfortunately.

Not on this server, do not forget its the 4760-server I'm talking about, not clients on other computers.

It is release 5.1.06.03c, maybe its not the same as you have?

Hi new_guy,

I'm not certain on this yet, but you may give a shot...
Does your java auto-update disabled? Or, kindly verify how many JAVA are installed in your OmniVista4760 PC Server.

Thank you.

@Zero - the java is disabled and was not updated after installation.

Solution:
I got some help and the solution was to remove the jssecacerts from C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\security. Then launched the application successfully. The file must have become corrupt some how.
