How many PCM2 we need?

Hello!
I have one question about OmniPCX Record suite.
If we have ONE node with many remote shelfes (ACT and common hadware with TDM phones) - ONE PCM2 board is enough or not? Or we need to install PCM2+packetizer in each shelf?

For network in documentation written clear - recording suite connected to one node and can record conversation from another nodes (via ABC-F link).
But for multi-ACT (ACT+INTIP and MG+GD) - not clear.

Can someone help me?

Sure.
You need only one NODE with PCM2 card, plus enough ABC-F "B" channels, plus licenses. One license is for centralized node, and one license is for remote node.
There is a small catch, if recording node is common hardware, you could hace two PCM R2 cards, but only total 50 recording calls (it's written down, but noone ever reads this!).
you could record in one node, many, many remote shelfs ! Only havn't tried the total mix of DR-Link plus DR-Link-IP. But if you stick to TDM, you could have one site with psychical recorder, and many, many ABC-F networked remote nodes.

If ONE NODE with many shelfs - the catch is - of course you could record in one NODE/SHELF and have conversations in many remote shelfs, but you should take care of number of - INTOFs and / or IP compressors. every rec session takes one more "TS". Also - good to know that this recording is actually - a special 3-party conf call, but one side is muted (the recording site) so - if you have CCD and many supervisors at same time do listen ACD calls live from phone set menu - you could have some incidents "not enough TS" and stage shelf number (252, or 253 iirc). It's most seen in ccd with common hw.
