VRRP toggled

Hi all,
do you know anyone why vrrp toggled on the one site(Backup to Master) although the master was not down(and don't toggled).
The linkagg interfaces were not DOWN and there are no errors/discards.
I've s83(6x6850) -> static LACP -> s88(8x6850)

hello
If backup toggled it is because he didn't get vrrp multicast in the right time he expect to get it.
This type of message can show you issue on your interconnect between sw83 and sw88.
Try to put VRRP 5 2512 PRIORITY 100 PREEMPT INTERVAL 1 with a delay interval to 5 and see if pb continue, if yes you have issue on line interconnect.
In my prod network I have a lot of vrrp instance and no message of toggled vrrp.
I assume there is no trap for "stp root chane" for vlan using this vrrp instance.

I mean 5 sec. is perhaps to much?
Can you, please, take a look at VRRP behavior of the Master. I have sniffered with Wireshark on both uplinks(port mirroring):

I found it very strange that the Master sends 3 advertisements at the same second?

So there is issue in vrrp send by sw83, should be the same if sw88 is master (perhaps to test). So we realy see that packet are not send out sw83. There is like a desynch.
FYI : I think to change time you need to make a disable / enable of vrrp instance.
So before opening a case, wich sw are you using, and next go for last one.
Did your pb come directly after you configure vrrp ?

Hi cedric,
thank you for reply.
Both switches with vrrp were running the same v.6.3.1.1176 for more than one year without this issue.
The issue is seen always at the same time period at night.
I tried to change priority so that the VRRP master was on sw88 and no toggle was to be seen (all ok).
Just when sw83 becom the master the issue is back again.
There are 2x10Gb LAG and are not fully utilised.
Next service/maintenance day I will try to change time to 2sec.

Hi
Trace you take show that charge on link is not issue, as we see vrrp packet are not send out the device sw83.
I suggest before making 2s change you make a reboot of sw83.
As you know, before opening a ticket you have to be in last code if pb is not solved after reboot.
Let us know end of the story
