i did install the fax server 6.0.1.000.45 on a ics8400 as a second service. after some problems at the beginning, i am now able to send and recieve fax.

on inbound direction al is working fine, the faxes are notified to the right destination. on outbound direction, the fax is sent properly but the callerid is not that one assigned in the internal user database for fax. the cllerid is that one assigned in the internal user database as phone extension.

for this reason, the receptient of the fax can not use the number to asnwer on the fax. i did read the installation manuals and the tc according to fax installation but can not find a hint about the outgoing callerid to be configured.

for me, this should be done automativcally by the oxe system, to build the clip with the entity and fax extension information.

can anybody help me on this topic ?

I think you can edit the format by using the templates on OFS. Don't have one at hand right now but will check later.

yes, you can edit the templates for the coversheets and the faxnumber is displayed, but when you fax to another faxserver the caller id is displayed in the header of the email and you can simply answer to it.

in this case the caller id is catched by the remote fax server and you are not able to manage something. i did perform some traces on sip level and isdn level.

what i saw ist that the ingternal number provided on the sip link is not correct translated to a national isdn number format. on the isdn line there is only transferred the internal number without the installation number added.

furthermore the type of number is marked as unknown (00) and not as national (21) in isdn layer3 setup message. for this reason the provider will overwrite the caller di with the installation number of the customer.

I have a problem also with fax sending. When i write any oxe phone number in the phone field of internal fax user then it fails to send fax, if i only write any oxe extension number in fax field of internal user of fax and leave the phone field empty then it works. Another major problem is the charged number is not appearing in the 4400 accounting file.It shows FS00x something like that in the charged extension field.
Any help Please.
