Send voicemail message by email

Hello,

A customer with OXO R7.1 wants to receive his voicemail messages by email.
So, I actived Email Notification in the "Central Service Global Info" window, and set the IP address of the local email server.
In the subscribers window, I set the email address of the user in the Email Notification Tab, checked "Notification of voice message by email" and "Send voice message as attachement".

When I leave a message, nothing happened in the log of email server. The server works fine if I try to send and receive mail with outlook express.

The OXO have no valid licences in the "e-server" tab of the Software Key Features window, but our distrubutor says it doesn't need license... So maybe I'm missing something...

Can someone help me ?

Thanks

Now it works fine...
But I have a new issue... The customer wants to use email for a mailbox of a VirtualTerminal subscriber (made for an ACD group)... but in this case, the "Central Services" button in the users detail is disabled, so I can't put the email address.
Is there something to do ? or is it impossible for virtual subscriber ?

Thanks

Hi

I looked for but I didn't find a way too. For a normal virtual sbscriber you can have message by mail, I use it, but the virtual extensions for ACD, "central services" buttons are disabled. Maybe with an external application for call center, but I din't know..

Is there any configuration option where one would change subject and body of the email notification to be sent?

Right now I only receive an "Urgent alarm" upon a missed call...

Thanks,
Alex

PS: sorry for bumping up this old post, thought it'd fit well

Hello, every hour
I have recently upgraded a customer from a CPUe-2 and a CoCPU to the PowerCPU and after dealing with all its problems of resetting every hour, we have an issue with voicemail to email notifications. The only thing that has changed is the IP address if the CPU. To get the IP phones in service I had to change the IP of the CPU to the old IP of the CoCPU. Aside from that there are no other changes. The IP address of the mail server is the same but in the "Central Services Global Info" Window under the "email notification" tab i have activation checked and the IP of the mail server in place and under "email notification" it shows Failure. We have opened a ticker with TAC but it has been 3 weeks since we have had any communication. We have even tried taking everything out of the mix and setting up a mail server on one of my coworkers laptop and using that with a hub and 1 phone but still failed. Any ideas?
